Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Edward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hatsu Matsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matsu has chosen LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Edward!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Hatsu Matsu!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Matsu moves into the clinch.

Matsu has Edward pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Matsu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Edward tumbling to the mat - Matsu dives into Edward's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Matsu prevents Edward from getting back to his feet.

Matsu is working for a guillotine from mount but Edward frees his head quite easily.

Edward wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Matsu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Matsu wants to control the action but instead Edward gets a body lock and reverses into Matsu's guard! Nice work!
Edward might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Matsu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Edward wants to stand but Matsu has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Edward got a little sloppy there for a moment and Matsu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Edward has managed to get both his arms back between Matsu's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Edward throws a right hand that Matsu ducks under and follows up with a left that Matsu also avoids with ease.
Matsu takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Edward avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Matsu bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Matsu's coach down at Warrior Dogs was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Matsu's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Matsu shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Edward as he avoids it easily.
Matsu moves in looking to clinch but Edward pushes him off.

Matsu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Edward does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Hatsu Matsu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
