Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Russel Lokar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zachery Musick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Russel Lokar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zachery Musick!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lokar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Musick as he jumps to the side.
Lokar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Musick tries to clinch but Lokar moves out of range.

Lokar closes the distance and clinches.
Musick can't get the takedown.
Lokar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Musick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lokar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lokar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Musick doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Musick manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lokar jumps guard and drags Musick to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Lokar has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Musick has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

No joy there for Lokar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Musick shoots in looking for a takedown. Lokar tries to sprawl out of it but Musick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lokar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Russel Lokar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zachery Musick.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Russel Lokar.
Well Lokar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
