Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Posnovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus Posnovich told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ivan Holt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Posnovich! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holt showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Posnovich.
Posnovich closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Holt quickly recovers to half guard. Holt is looking to improve his position.
Posnovich takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Posnovich landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Posnovich content to control rather than advance. Posnovich is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Holt sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Posnovich is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Holt is just riding it out for now. Posnovich eventually gives up the hold. Holt is trying to maintain the position but Posnovich is very close to passing his half guard. Posnovich seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Posnovich in particular looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Posnovich. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Posnovich tries to pass to full mount but Holt defends it. Posnovich is trying to control the action in half guard but Holt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Holt tries to roll over but Posnovich keeps him under control. Posnovich slips a nice elbow through Holt's hands, connecting with Holt's forehead. Posnovich is trying to work for a kimura but Holt is defending well.
Posnovich looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holt trying to control from the bottom.
Posnovich stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Holt scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Holt wants to control but Posnovich is keeping him busy. Posnovich is controlling Holt's trapped leg to prevent Holt from advancing to side control. Posnovich is looking for a sweep. Holt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Posnovich is not content to let Holt control the position. Posnovich looks like he's trying to stand up.
Holt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holt missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Posnovich wants to improve his position but Holt is controlling well.
Holt wants to lay and pray for a moment but Posnovich keeps working. Posnovich missing with punches from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ivan Holt. Sloppy strikes from Posnovich. Those never looked like landing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Marcus Posnovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Posnovich closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Posnovich dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Posnovich is looking to pass into half guard but Holt pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Holt is in guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Posnovich can do anything to dispel that myth. Posnovich has Holt pulled in close to control his posture. Holt trying to control the position from guard on top but Posnovich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Posnovich is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ivan Holt has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Holt throws a right hand that Posnovich ducks under and follows up with a left that Posnovich also avoids with ease. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Posnovich throws a head kick that misses. Ivan Holt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Posnovich fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Holt sprawls well initially but Posnovich persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Posnovich controlling the action here.

Posnovich really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Posnovich wants to get back to his feet.
Posnovich is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Marcus Posnovich wasn't active enough on the ground. Posnovich manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Holt on his heels. He'll look to pass Holt's guard now, I'm sure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holt has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Posnovich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Posnovich looking to control the position here, rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Posnovich showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Holt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Posnovich scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Some bone on bone action there as Holt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Posnovich has Holt up against the cage in a clinch.

Posnovich throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Holt blocks it with crossed arms. A head punch blocked on the inside by Posnovich. Posnovich manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Holt preventing the sweep. Holt trying to control the position from guard on top but Posnovich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Posnovich is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holt got a little sloppy there for a moment and Posnovich has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Holt has managed to get both his arms back between Posnovich's legs - danger averted. Holt wants to control from the top but Posnovich keeps moving. Posnovich throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Posnovich wants to sweep but no luck. Holt missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Posnovich wants to stand and escape but Holt is having none of it. Holt trying to control but Posnovich is working from the bottom.

Posnovich gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Holt throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Posnovich stays in close to Holt's body and controls the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Posnovich's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcus Posnovich was stalling too much, according to the referee. Posnovich is looking to land body kicks. Posnovich lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Holt shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Posnovich counters with a straight right hand. Posnovich takes the fight into the clinch. Posnovich lands a takedown into guard.
Posnovich not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Holt is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Holt keeping full guard, as Posnovich tries to pass. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Posnovich connects with a couple of short punches. Posnovich slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Posnovich drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Holt dives on top into guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Posnovich comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Posnovich has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
