Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Francis Hampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ike Davidson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Francis Hampton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ike Davidson!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davidson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Davidson is looking to take a break and control but Hampton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hampton wants to control but Davidson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davidson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Davidson tries to stand and escape but Hampton is controlling the position.

Davidson is trying to control the action in half guard but Hampton is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hampton won't allow Davidson to pass to mount.

Davidson is keen to just control but Hampton is a slippery customer.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ike Davidson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Davidson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hampton did well to prevent Davidson getting side control.
Hampton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davidson on the ground.

Hampton is not content to let Davidson control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hampton has one foot on Davidson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Davidson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Davidson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hampton to get to his feet.

Hampton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davidson, pushing him back against the cage.

Hampton blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Hampton stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Hampton manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Davidson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

That's time! Hampton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Davidson feints and as Hampton raises his hands in defense, Davidson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hampton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Hampton has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Davidson is on him like a limpet, forcing Hampton back against the cage.

Davidson wants to hit a switch here but Hampton passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Davidson there!

Hampton gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Davidson drives through with a takedown into Hampton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

A close second round but Ike Davidson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Davidson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hampton's guard.
Hampton tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Davidson wants to stand but Hampton is controlling his posture from full guard.

Davidson wants to control from the top but Hampton keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ike Davidson.

Davidson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Davidson manages to end up in side control.

Hampton is looking for a sweep. Davidson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Davidson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hampton sees it coming and defends easily.

Hampton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
