Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfonzo Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kreska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alfonzo Carver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Kreska! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kreska shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carver as he jumps to the side. Carver leaves Kreska with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kreska shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Carver counters with a series of strikes. Kreska will be more careful next time no doubt. Alfonzo Carver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kreska. Carver decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Carver with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Carver winds up and cracks Kreska with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kreska is staying active underneath Carver, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carver lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Kreska keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Carver missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kreska tries to roll over but Carver keeps him under control. Carver lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Carver seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kreska for as long as he can get away with. Kreska actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carver controlling the pace. Carver thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kreska's head. Carver prevents Kreska from standing back up.
Carver looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Carver thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kreska tries to kick Carver off but Carver keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Kreska looks winded! Carver throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Carver is controlling the pace.
Carver is nestled in close to Kreska, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Carver thows a huge punch but Kreska dodges it nicely.
Well, if Carver is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kreska avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carver. Carver not landing any meaningful shots this time. Carver stalling. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carver lands a nice short elbow.

Kreska defending well though. Carver could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Carver is figuring out what he wants to do next. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carver misses with a head shot. Kreska uses the momentum to regain guard. Kreska controls Carver momentarily but Carver frees himself. Carver lands a couple of elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carver looking to sit in guard and control but Kreska gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Carver working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kreska. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alfonzo Carver dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kreska tries a head kick but it misses.

Kreska misses with a takedown and Carver counters with a left and a right that stings Kreska. Kreska tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Carver shoots in and gets a takedown into Kreska's guard. Kreska is breathing heavily. Carver is working Kreska over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Carver scoring with some ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kreska avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carver missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver landing some decent shots from guard. Carver trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Carver is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carver scoring with punches to the head and body. Carver works over Kreska with some ground and pound from guard. Carver looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Carver throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Carver landing some decent shots from guard. Kreska is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carver stays in close to Kreska's body and controls the position. Carver working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kreska's head. Carver works over Kreska with some ground and pound from guard. Carver landing some decent shots from guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carver's corner is telling him to maintain position. Carver throwing strikes but missing. Kreska utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Carver scoring with punches to the head and body. Carver might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Carver lands a couple of elbows. Carver is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Alfonzo Carver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kreska avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carver throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kreska works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carver in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Carver content to stall in guard here. Kreska preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Carver has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Carver working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Carver lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carver's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kreska really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carver throws a big elbow that misses. Kreska preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Carver scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kreska can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carver controls the pace. Kreska is striking but Carver is not phased and passes to half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kreska avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Carver. Carver not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Carver is nestled in close to Kreska, controlling him well. Kreska doesn't manage to clinch there - Carver circles away.
Kreska tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Carver manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Carver leaves Kreska with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kreska throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kreska fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carver manages to avoid it. Kreska tries for a takedown but Carver sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kreska takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kreska looks to land a body kick but Carver moved away. No luck for Kreska with that takedown attempt. Alfonzo Carver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kreska. Kreska shoots in for a double leg but Carver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Carver shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carver was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Carver cracks Kreska with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kreska is trying to control Carver's posture but Carver avoids it. The referee asks Carver politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Carver prefers to stall for the moment though. Kreska takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Carver connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Kreska some visible discomfort.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carver landing a few strikes. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carver cracks Kreska with a big right hand but Kreska just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Carver working the body and head with strikes. Carver scores with a couple of short elbows. Carver lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Kreska is working to avoid the ground and pound but Carver connects with a decent elbow. Carver landing strikes. Carver controls the position.

Carver landing strikes. Kreska tries to buck Carver off but Carver is having none of it. Carver wants to control but Kreska is keeping him busy. Check out the look on Carver's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Carver in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. A lull in the action here. Carver sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Kreska is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carver throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kreska is working to avoid the ground and pound but Carver connects with a decent elbow. Carver controlling from side mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Carver in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Sloppy strikes there by Carver. Carver working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Carver is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kreska's shoulder. That is not cool. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carver scores with a couple of short elbows.
And that's the end of the fight! Alfonzo Carver showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carver has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
