Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aron Higgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Stryker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victor Stryker will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aron Higgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Victor Stryker!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higgins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Stryker has his takedown stuffed

and Higgins moves into the clinch.

Stryker breaks from the clinch.
Stryker doesn't manage to clinch there - Higgins circles away.
Stryker closes the distance and clinches up with Higgins, looking for a takedown. Stryker pushes Higgins against the cage but Higgins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Stryker is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Stryker thumps Higgins with a low kick.
Higgins avoids the head kick by Stryker.
Stryker fails in his attempt to clinch.
Stryker scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Stryker forces Higgins back against the cage and clinches.

Stryker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Higgins could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Stryker clinches up with Higgins and pushes him back against the cage.

Stryker wants to stand but Higgins is controlling the position.
Stryker has Higgins pulled in close to control his posture.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stryker wants to sweep but no luck.
Higgins won't allow Stryker to get back to his feet.
Stryker is trying to keep Higgins in close.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Higgins is looking to stand up but Stryker won't let him.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Victor Stryker was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Stryker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Stryker.
Stryker shoots in but no luck this time.
Aron Higgins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Victor Stryker.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Higgins wants to stand and escape but instead Stryker has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Higgins looking for a sweep. Not yet Higgins, not yet.
Stryker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Higgins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Higgins pulls Stryker in close to prevent any damage.
Higgins is looking to stand up but Stryker isn't so interested in that idea.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Stryker dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Stryker misses with a wild combination.
Stryker dives in and grabs Higgins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Higgins pushes down on Stryker's head and hops out.

Stryker feints and as Higgins raises his hands in defense, Stryker changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Higgins blocks a head kick by Stryker.

Stryker shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Higgins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Higgins is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Higgins trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Higgins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stryker looking to pass the guard.
Stryker trying to control but Higgins is working from the bottom.
Higgins is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Higgins not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stryker throws a head kick but Higgins moves out of range.

Stryker is trying to pull guard but Higgins has him pressed against the cage.

Stryker works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Stryker shoots for a double leg takedown but Higgins sprawls well. He's pushed Stryker's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Stryker dives in for a single leg takedown but Higgins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Higgins keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Stryker's efforts to push away.

Higgins is trying to trip Stryker. He has hold of a leg but Stryker is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Higgins persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stryker wants to control but Higgins passes easily into half guard.
Stryker gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Stryker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Stryker manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Higgins tries to hold on but Stryker pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stryker trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Higgins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Higgins is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Higgins is in a horrible position here. Stryker smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Higgins is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Higgins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Higgins takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Stryker looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Higgins wants to control but Stryker is having none of it.
Higgins is squirming around, avoiding Stryker's attempts to control the action.
Stryker avoids the attempt from Higgins to control.
Higgins tries to buck Stryker off but he can't manage it.
Stryker can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Higgins is looking to escape.

Stryker sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Stryker cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stryker seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Higgins is holding on tight.
Higgins holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Stryker tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Stryker thowing shots but they're missing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Victor Stryker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stryker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
