Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenneth Boyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kendall has chosen Strangulation Cypher - Tech N9ne as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jay Kendall was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendall misses with a looping right.
Kendall shoots in and bounces Boyer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kendall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Boyer is trying to control the position but Kendall postures up.
Kendall wants to control from the top but Boyer keeps moving.
Kendall stops Boyer from standing up.
Kendall in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Kendall must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Boyer is looking to stand up but Kendall isn't so interested in that idea.
Kendall tries to free his leg and advance position but Boyer is retaining full guard.
Kendall stops Boyer from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyer has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kendall off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Kendall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Kendall has cracked Boyer with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Kendall lands another huge swinging hook and Boyer tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Boyer, before Kendall can land any more shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jay Kendall!
After the fight, Jay Kendall was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
