Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Binse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto has chosen Holding Out For A Hero (Japanese Version) as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christopher Binse! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
39 - 18 - 4, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keiji Hashimoto! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hashimoto throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A low kick from Hashimoto is predictable there and Binse connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hashimoto cracks the inside of Binse's front leg. Hashimoto misses with an attempted mid kick.
Binse tries to land a front kick but Hashimoto steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Binse defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hashimoto. Hashimoto misses with an uppercut. Hashimoto comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Binse closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Hashimoto shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Binse is looking to improve his position.
Hashimoto is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Binse is just riding it out for now. Hashimoto eventually gives up the hold. Hashimoto is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hashimoto sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Binse defending well though. Hashimoto is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Binse doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hashimoto. Hashimoto throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Binse wants to improve his position but Hashimoto is controlling well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Binse wants to control but Hashimoto is keeping busy.
Hashimoto seems to be working for a kimura but Binse defends the submission attempt. Hashimoto is looking for a kimura but Binse is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hashimoto to get the leverage. Hashimoto is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Binse reverses the position - he's now on top in Hashimoto's guard. Hashimoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hashimoto is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Binse lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Binse pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hashimoto is keeping the position for now. Hashimoto keeping moving, preventing Binse from controlling successfully. Hashimoto trying to control the position.
Hashimoto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hashimoto looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Hashimoto controls Binse momentarily but Binse frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Binse controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hashimoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Binse wants to control from the top but Hashimoto keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hashimoto is looking to land body kicks. Binse takes a swing at Hashimoto's ribcage but misses. Binse avoids the head kick by Hashimoto.
Christopher Binse is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Binse scoring well with a low kick there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Binse throws a leg kick but Hashimoto sees it coming and moves out of range. Keiji Hashimoto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Binse pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hashimoto back to the cage. Binse follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Binse slips a straight right by Hashimoto. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keiji Hashimoto dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hashimoto throws a half hearted mid kick. Hashimoto tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Binse manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hashimoto lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Hashimoto sizes up Binse with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Hashimoto has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Binse. Binse with a body punch. A glancing blow. Binse throws a head kick but Hashimoto moves out of range.
Binse thows a body shot but no joy. Binse throws a sloppy head kick and Hashimoto moves out of range easily. Hashimoto throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Binse sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hashimoto lands a slapping body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hashimoto. The fight moves into the clinch position. Binse misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Binse throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Binse has a couple of punches blocked by Hashimoto.
Hashimoto misses with some punches.
Binse scores with an uppercut up the middle. I was talking to Binse's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Binse tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Binse avoids the elbow strike from Hashimoto, against the cage.
Binse takes a shot to the head. Hashimoto successfully pulls guard.
Binse wants to control from the top but Hashimoto keeps moving. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Binse's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hashimoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Binse doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Binse manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hashimoto looking for a guillotine here but Binse defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hashimoto working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Binse is trying to control the action in half guard but Hashimoto is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hashimoto works his way to full guard. Good work. Binse trying to control but Hashimoto is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Binse postures up in Hashimoto's guard and throws a big left but Hashimoto blocks it. Hashimoto wants to sweep here but Binse controlling him for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hashimoto is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Binse defends well. Binse stopping the sweep attempt from Hashimoto. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keiji Hashimoto showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Hashimoto moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Binse moves out of range of the strikes. Binse stuns Hashimoto with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Binse slips under a jab. Hashimoto throws a jab but it's blocked by Binse. Hashimoto uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Binse.
Hashimoto tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Binse is able to avoid easily. Hashimoto scores with a nice head shot. Binse gets caught flat footed, as Hashimoto shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hashimoto wants to control from the top but Binse keeps moving. Hashimoto advances to half guard.

Hashimoto tries to pass the half guard into mount. Binse knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Binse gets full guard. Hashimoto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Binse swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hashimoto advances position into side control! Binse is trying to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Binse rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hashimoto's guard! Nice work there by Binse! Binse passes Hashimoto's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Binse is nestled in close to Hashimoto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hashimoto regains full guard. Nicely done. Binse working some strikes from top position. Binse has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hashimoto has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Binse should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hashimoto has tightened it up now! Binse should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
