Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between gop gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Maine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from gracie.
gracie pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maine feints and as gracie raises his hands in defense, Maine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Maine content to stall in guard here.
Maine wants to pass the guard but gracie is keeping the position.
gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Maine controls from within his opponent's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Maine postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Maine is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
gracie thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Maine stands and throws gracie's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Maine controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maine creates some space and throws a big elbow, but gracie sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Maine looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Maine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by gracie, who protects the arm well.
Maine looks gassed!
gracie is looking to regain half guard here but Maine keeps moving and retains side control.
Maine moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Maine misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

and Maine counters with a shoot takedown. gracie fights it but they end up in guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Carlos Maine just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

gop gracie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Maine fails with a takedown attempt.
gracie swats away the attempt to clinch by Maine.
gracie closes the distance and clinches.
Maine content to slow the pace in the clinch.
gracie tries to pull guard but Maine holds him up against the cage and eventually gracie drops back down to his feet.

Maine is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Maine gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Maine is breathing heavily.
Maine tries to pass the half guard into mount. gracie knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maine thowing shots but they're missing.
Maine has control of gracie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and gracie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Maine wants to control the pace but gracie is squirming around nicely.
Maine prevents gracie from getting the reversal.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Maine lands with some vicious ground and pound - can gracie hang on?

Maine tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
gracie wants to control but Maine is having none of it.

Carlos Maine showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Maine decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
gracie is trying to maintain the position but Maine is very close to passing his half guard.
Maine keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Maine prevents gracie from improving his position.
gracie blocking the ground and pound attempt from Maine.
Maine uses his free foot to push down on gracie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for gracie.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Maine lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
gracie tries to buck Maine off but Maine takes his back!
Maine working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. gracie is doing well to defend. Maine seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! gracie is forced to tap and this one is over!
