Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rickety Cricket! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Awesome Sauce! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cricket fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sauce sprawls well initially but Cricket persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sauce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cricket. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cricket scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Cricket slips a nice elbow through Sauce's hands, connecting with Sauce's forehead. Sauce is trying to stand back up but Cricket is controlling him
Cricket sitting and controlling from the half guard. Cricket is looking to take a break and control but Sauce is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Cricket stops Sauce from getting back to his feet.
Sauce has hold of Cricket's hands but Cricket slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sauce is trying to stand up here but Cricket is controlling him well. Cricket lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Cricket sitting and controlling from the half guard. Cricket frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cricket with a couple of short strikes. Sauce's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Cricket working the ground and pound effectively.
The referee warns Sauce that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Cricket has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sauce is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Cricket pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sauce is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Sauce looks gassed! Cricket lands a nice shot to the head. Sauce in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Sauce is rocked! Cricket with the ground and pound from mount. Sauce is still in real trouble! Can Cricket finish him? Cricket controlling from the full mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cricket lands a nice shot to the head. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cricket dominating with strikes here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cricket scores with a couple of good head shots there.

A nice elbow there by Cricket. Cricket punishing his opponent with strikes. Cricket postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Sauce bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Cricket and the fight is over!
