The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sanchez is trying hard to land a takedown here. Medeiros sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Medeiros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Good leg kick by Medeiros there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Medeiros pinned against the cage. Medeiros gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rodrigo Medeiros has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Salvio Sanchez.

Medeiros is breathing heavily.
Sanchez is working to tighten his grip on Medeiros 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Medeiros has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sanchez is really squeezing tight and eventually Medeiros passes out! Sanchez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
