Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Layzie Bone!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bone shoots for a double leg takedown but Mccormick sprawls well. He's pushed Bone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Mccormick controls Bone momentarily but Bone frees himself.

Mccormick has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bone is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Mccormick.
Bone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mccormick is trying to control Bone's posture but Bone avoids it.

Bone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Bone looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Mccormick with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

It looks like Bone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Layzie Bone hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Mccormick enables Bone to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mccormick manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bone slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bone looking to score a takedown here. Mccormick is defending well but Bone drives through and ends up in Mccormick's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bone is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mccormick's shoulder. That is not cool.
Bone is putting a hurting on Mccormick here, landing some big shots from side control.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Mccormick tries to buck Bone off but Bone is having none of it.
Mccormick sneaks back into half guard.
Bone is taking a breather. Mccormick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Bone seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Let's hope that Bone has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Bone looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Mccormick covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
