Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Simon Adabisi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Honza Kucera!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kucera ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
The fighters circling - Adabisi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kucera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Adabisi scores with a jab to the body.
Adabisi misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kucera.
Adabisi throws a series of punches but Kucera moves out of range.
Kucera fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kucera shoots for a takedown but Adabisi saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Simon Adabisi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Honza Kucera.
Kucera fails with a takedown attempt.
Adabisi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kucera walks into a straight right hand from Adabisi.
Adabisi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Adabisi wants it to stay on the feet.
Kucera will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kucera shoots for a double leg takedown but Adabisi sprawls well. He's pushed Kucera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Simon Adabisi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Adabisi throws a good cross that connects.
Kucera closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kucera is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Adabisi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kucera has an Americana. Adabisi didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kucera is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kucera hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
