Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cyrus Lucas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, RikI Machida!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucas swings for the body but Machida moves out of range.
Lucas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Machida checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lucas shoots in and gets a takedown into Machida's guard.
Lucas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Lucas's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Machida looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Machida doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Machida controls Lucas momentarily but Lucas frees himself.
Lucas seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Lucas shoots in looking for a takedown. Machida tries to sprawl out of it but Lucas keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Machida manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Machida tries to bum rush Lucas with a series of wild strikes but Lucas uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lucas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Machida paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Machida enables Lucas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Machida manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Machida manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Machida throws a strike there. Lucas manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Machida changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Lucas fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Lucas has picked Machida up - he's going for a ride! Lucas dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Machida misses with a takedown attempt - Lucas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lucas's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cyrus Lucas will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lucas's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
