Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Third Dag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dimon Boets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boets has chosen Штиль as his entrance music. Third Dag is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Third Dag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dimon Boets!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boets shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dag sprawls well. Dag wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boets gets slowly back to his feet.
Boets with a lazy takedown attempt

and Dag counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boets's guard now.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dag missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Dag postures up and lands a big shot to Boets's brow.
Dag wants to pass the guard but Boets is keeping the position.
Boets looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Boets looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Boets is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dag defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boets looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dag trying to control the position from guard on top but Boets is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dag throws an elbow that misses. Boets uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dag's guard. Nice move by Boets!

Dag escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Boets gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dag has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boets can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've been hearing good reports from Dag's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Boets is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dag has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Boets is looking to defend but Dag has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Boets! Dag pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Boets taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Third Dag!
Third Dag decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
