Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lim Hyun Gyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell comes to the cage accompanied by Joe Jackson- I'm the Man. Lim Hyun Gyu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Malcolm Mitchell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Lim Hyun Gyu! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mitchell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gyu keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mitchell. Mitchell scoring well with a low kick there.
Mitchell pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Mitchell swings and misses with a shot to the body and Gyu counters with a left and a right that hurts Mitchell! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Gyu jumps into full mount! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gyu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mitchell to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mitchell shrugs it off. Gyu looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Gyu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Mitchell is now in Gyu's guard. A big mistake from Gyu there, giving up the dominant position! Mitchell wants to get up but he can't break Gyu's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gyu keeping full guard, as Mitchell tries to pass. Mitchell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gyu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mitchell has managed to get both his arms back between Gyu's legs - danger averted. Our spies down at at Elite Training Facility inform us that Gyu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Gyu is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Mitchell has his hands clasped together but Gyu extends and breaks Mitchell's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Gyu.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lim Hyun Gyu! An out of breath Lim Hyun Gyu thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career. In defeat, Malcolm Mitchell stepped up to the mic, saying 'there must be some mistake, I don't lose.'.
