The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worrell is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Worrell fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Penn manages to avoid it.
Worrell looks to score with a jab to the body but Penn is just out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Penn as Worrell shoots in.
Worrell wants to clinch up but Penn keeps it at a distance.
Penn blocks a head kick by Worrell.
Pete Worrell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Worrell tries to avoid it but Penn manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Worrell to the ground. Worrell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Penn blocks a head kick by Worrell.
Penn shoots in for a double leg but Worrell sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Penn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Worrell pushes Penn off looking to stand but Penn dives back in and keeps control.

Penn wants to stand but Worrell has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Worrell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Worrell looks like he's trying to stand up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Penn in particular looking to stall.
Penn prevents Worrell from standing back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Penn misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJ Penn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Penn is breathing heavily.
Penn shoots in but no luck this time.
Penn tries a head kick but it misses.
Worrell throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Penn goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Penn avoids the body shot from Worrell.
Worrell tries to clinch up but Penn circles away and keeps his distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Penn will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Worrell up against the cage.
Penn on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Worrell breaks the clinch.

Worrell tries to clinch but Penn is having none of it.
Penn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Worrell scoring well with a low kick there.
Worrell shoots in and bounces Penn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Worrell trying to control but Penn is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Penn wants to sweep here but Worrell controlling him for the moment.

Worrell trying to control the position from guard on top but Penn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Worrell wants to stand and escape but instead Penn has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Worrell has an active guard here but Penn has managed to pass into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that BJ Penn will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Penn has closed the distance and engaged Worrell in a clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Worrell.
Penn tries to pull guard but Worrell won't allow it.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Worrell.
Worrell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Penn has his takedown stuffed
and Worrell counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Penn is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Worrell throws the kick towards the body but Penn avoids it.
Worrell wants to clinch
and Penn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Worrell won't be happy with that.
Worrell is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Penn moves into full mount!

Penn controlling his opponent.
Worrell is trying to reverse the position but instead Penn has taken his back - oops!
Worrell is trying to stand back up.
Worrell is in bad spot here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Worrell is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Penn controlling from the back.
Penn has got one arm under Worrell's chin. This could be trouble... Worrell trying to control the other hand but Penn gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Worrell has tapped out! The fight is over!
