Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Takashi! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Sanders! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

Takashi throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Takashi fails to land with a series of punches.

Takashi misses with a lunging right hand
and Sanders counters with a head kick. That will keep Takashi thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Sanders throws a head kick that misses
and Takashi counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sanders's guard now. Takashi postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Takashi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Sanders is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Takashi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Sanders preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Takashi forces his way into half guard. Sanders looks like he's trying to stand up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Takashi connects with a nice short shot to Sanders's temple.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sanders with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sanders is rocked! Takashi lands strikes from half guard. Sanders is still in real trouble! Can Takashi finish him? Takashi lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Sanders quite badly. Sanders pulls Takashi in close trying to recover. Takashi postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Sanders on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Sanders doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Takashi! Ken Takashi is the new featherweight champion! Ken Takashi seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
