Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evan Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manu Rodriguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Evan Spence! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Manu Rodriguez! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rodriguez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Spence's half guard. Spence is looking for a sweep. Rodriguez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rodriguez stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Rodriguez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rodriguez showed some decent athleticism there. Rodriguez winds up and cracks Spence with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Rodriguez is working for a submission of some sort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rodriguez in particular looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Spence manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Spence really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rodriguez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spence is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spence has escaped and now he's on top! Rodriguez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spence can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Spence has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rodriguez is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Spence loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Spence throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spence landing some decent shots from guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rodriguez wants to sweep here but Spence controlling him for the moment. Rodriguez looks winded! Rodriguez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Spence gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Spence stands up over Rodriguez, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Spence throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rodriguez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Spence works over Rodriguez with some ground and pound from guard. Spence with a flurry of punches that miss. Rodriguez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Spence should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rodriguez has tightened it up now! Spence should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
