Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jason Keller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jason Keller has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jason Keller seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Keller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Pettis! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pettis lands a nice looking body kick. Nice sprawl there from Pettis as Keller shoots in. Pettis forces Keller back against the cage and clinches. Pettis is looking for a takedown. Keller is trying to maintain a safe position but Pettis gets an underhook and turns Keller into the cage. Keller has Pettis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pettis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Pettis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Pettis thumps Keller with a low kick. Pettis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Pettis has Keller up against the cage in a clinch.

Pettis is pressed up against the cage. Keller has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pettis down to the mat. Pettis avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Keller. That's going to take a lot out of him. Keller tries to land a front kick but Pettis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Pettis has managed to clinch.
Keller is trying to force a seperation but Pettis has the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Keller gets underhooks to prevent Pettis's takedown attempt.
Pettis wants to take the fight to the mat but Keller manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Pettis turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Pettis wants to control but Keller is keeping him busy. Pettis working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Keller sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Keller regains full guard. Nicely done. Pettis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Pettis throws an elbow that misses. Keller uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pettis's guard. Nice move by Keller! Keller trying to control but Pettis is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pettis preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Pettis is controlling Keller's posture. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Keller wants to control from the top but Pettis keeps moving. Keller is looking to stand up but Pettis won't let him. Pettis keeping moving, preventing Keller from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pettis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jason Keller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Pettis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pettis pulls Keller in to control the position. Keller postures up.
Keller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pettis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pettis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Keller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Keller looking to sit in guard and control but Pettis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Pettis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Keller looking for a guillotine here but Pettis defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pettis trying to control but Keller is working from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Anthony Pettis. Pettis swats away the attempt to clinch by Keller. Horrible takedown by Keller or perhaps it was just good defense by Pettis which made him look bad. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Keller leaves Pettis with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Keller shoots in for a takedown but Pettis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pettis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Keller is pushing down on Pettis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pettis is fighting to maintain full guard but Keller has managed to sneak the leg through. Keller is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pettis is not content to let Keller control the position. Keller throwing shots but Pettis is blocking nicely. Keller is trying to control. Pettis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Keller is trying to work for a kimura but Pettis is defending well.
Keller is keen to just control but Pettis is a slippery customer. Keller works his way into side control. Pettis can't do much from the bottom here. Jason Keller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pettis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Keller wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keller tries to stand but Pettis is controlling his head. Pettis parries the strikes from Keller easily there. Keller is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Pettis to escape.
Keller scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pettis to see if he's OK. Keller wants to stand but Pettis has his arm trapped. Pettis is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Keller trying to control the position but Pettis is working away. Keller tries for a kimura but Pettis is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Keller thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pettis is trying to improve his position. Pettis struggling a bit here. Keller tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Keller has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Keller fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Pettis's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Pettis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pettis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Keller goes for a double leg but Pettis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Pettis continues to drive forward. Pettis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Keller moves out of range of the body kick. Pettis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pettis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Keller swivels and escapes. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Keller is defended easily by Pettis. Keller shoots in but no luck this time. Pettis avoids the head kick by Keller.
Pettis shoots in and drives through. Keller sprawls well. Keller tries to clinch there but Pettis circles away.
Pettis stuffs the takedown attempt from Keller. Keller gets slowly back to his feet.

Pettis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Keller tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pettis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Pettis looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Keller! Keller is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pettis off and has taken his back! Pettis prevents Keller from getting a body triangle. Pettis has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pettis prevents Keller from getting a body triangle. Keller sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Pettis taps out!
