10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Chester Man! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Man ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Man throws a solid leg kick but Blake takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Man. Man paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Man dips to his left and cracks Blake with an uppercut! Michael Blake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blake has a takedown stuffed. Danga de danga de dang - Man scores with a four punch combination! Blake shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Man counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Michael Blake has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Blake has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Blake. That's going to take a lot out of him. Blake gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Man counters with a one-two to the body. Man throws a series of punches but Blake avoids them all with ease. Blake scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Man wants to control but Blake postures up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ground and pound from Blake seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Man tries to buck Blake off but Blake is having none of it. Blake throwing strikes but missing, from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blake wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Man, who protects the arm well. Blake goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Man rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Blake's guard! Nice work there by Man! Man wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Blake's closed guard. He's half up but Blake has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Blake pivots and extends the arm, Man falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Blake! Well done that man!
