Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Androv (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanamichi Ono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mikhail Androv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hanamichi Ono!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ono throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Androv.

Androv scores with a takedown into Ono's guard.
Ono can't keep his opponent in guard - Androv advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Androv trying to pass the guard but Ono defending well.
Androv is trying to control the action in half guard but Ono is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Androv is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Ono really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Androv. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ono is refusing to be controlled, as Androv sits in half guard.
Androv drops an elbow to the side of Ono's head.
Ono keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Androv is working for a submission of some sort.
Ono tries to get to full guard but Androv has control of the leg.

Ono controlling the position for now.
Androv is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Ono wants to control but Androv is keeping busy.
Ono is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Androv is staying active.
Ono looks gassed!
Ono wants to control but Androv passes into side.

Androv looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Androv tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Androv is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Ono knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Androv misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ono is not content to let Androv control the position.
Ono is looking for a sweep.

Ono wants to control but Androv postures up.

Androv working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ono tries to improve position but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ono thuds a left hand into Androv's body.
Ono throws a body punch but Androv moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Androv.
Ono swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Androv.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Androv closes the distance and clinches up with Ono, looking for a takedown. Androv pushes Ono against the cage but Ono circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ono scores with a one two! Androv had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ono is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A left lands for Ono.
Hanamichi Ono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Androv fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mikhail Androv. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Androv has a takedown stuffed.
Ono slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Androv shoots in and drives through. Ono sprawls well.

Androv takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Ono fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Androv looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Ono changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ono, as that shot connected.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Ono moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Androv looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ono is fending him off so far but Androv persists. Nope, Ono circles away and we're back to standing.

Ono lands with a shot to the body.
Ono is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Ono scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Androv fails with a takedown attempt.
Ono throws a series of punches but Androv moves out of range.
Androv shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Mikhail Androv is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Androv looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Androv shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ono as he avoids it easily.
Androv is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ono rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Androv moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ono clobbers Androv with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Ono avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ono will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ono misses with the combination.
Androv shoots in but Ono avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Androv shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ono as he jumps to the side.

A bone on bone clash there as Androv blocks the leg kick.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Androv feints and as Ono raises his hands in defense, Androv changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Androv is looking to work some ground and pound but Ono has wrist control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ono can do anything to dispel that myth.

Androv postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ono is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Androv, into his guard.
Androv is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ono is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Androv looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ono seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hanamichi Ono showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Androv fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ono manages to avoid it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Androv jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ono manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Androv goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ono rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Androv's guard! Nice work there by Ono!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ono is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Androv decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ono holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Ono is staying active underneath Androv, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ono is looking for a sweep. Androv is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ono moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Androv pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ono is keeping the position for now.
Androv might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Androv is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Hanamichi Ono comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Ono has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
