Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes into the arena with The Rolling Stones: Gimme Shelter blaring out of the sound system. Barnes has chosen Red Right Hand - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tiger Jones! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brad Barnes! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brad Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barnes is looking to clinch. Jones lands a head shot. Jones lands a two punch combo.
Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Barnes and Jones goes tumbling to the canvas! Barnes follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
It looks like Tiger Jones has been cut. Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jones is doing well to control the position and prevent Barnes from advancing to side control. Jones is not content to let Barnes control the position. Jones tries to roll over but Barnes keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes seems to be looking for submissions.
Barnes prevents Jones from improving his position. Jones tries to kick Barnes off but Barnes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Barnes sitting and controlling from the half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Barnes walks into a stiff left hand from Jones. Barnes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jones swinging wilding here.

Barnes throws a shot from downtown. Jones moves away and avoids it. Barnes takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses. Barnes just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones lands a jab to the head.
Barnes takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Jones lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barnes backs up against the cage.
Barnes tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Danga de danga de dang - Jones scores with a four punch combination! Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones counters with a two punch combo. Barnes looks gassed! Jones blocks a head kick by Barnes.
Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barnes. Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Barnes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Barnes takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jones works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Jones displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Barnes is rocked! Nice uppercut lands for Jones. That snapped Barnes's head back.
Barnes is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jones cracks Barnes with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Barnes falls to his knees and Jones doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tiger Jones! Tiger Jones is the new middleweight champion!
