Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Qing Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kims Ill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wu's entrance music is Mimosa - Psychedelic Stereo. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kims Ill!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ill throws a hook but Wu avoids it easily.
Wu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wu wants it to stay on the feet.

Ill has Wu up against the cage in a clinch.
Wu swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Wu misses with a punch to the body.
Ill effectively controlling the action here.
Ill tries for a takedown. No joy.
Wu tries to work over Ill's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Ill has Wu pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wu manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Qing Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kims Ill.

Ill breaks the clinch.
Wu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ill comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Ill shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wu defends it nicely.
Ill lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wu circles away quickly and effectively.

Ill fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wu avoids it really well and circles away.
Ill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wu but Wu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ill throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Ill instigates a clinch.
Wu is trying to break the clinch but Ill is controlling him.
Ill goes for a takedown attempt but Wu pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ill dives in for a single leg takedown but Wu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Ill looks winded!
Ill blocks an uppercut.
Wu misses with a hook to the ribs.
Ill drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Wu gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ill tries to pull guard but Wu won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Wu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ill backwards.

Ill breaks from the clinch.
Wu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ill manages to avoid it.
Kims Ill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wu gets tackled into the cage by Ill. Ill maintains the clinch.
Ill leaning against his opponent.
Wu has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Wu lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Wu misses with a shot to the kidneys.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ill - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Ill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ill goes for a double leg but Wu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wu continues to drive forward.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ill has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Wu is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ill blocks an uppercut.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wu.
Ill fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Wu throws a head punch that misses.
Ill is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wu pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ill looking for a takedown.
Wu looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Ill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wu throws a shot from downtown. Ill moves away and avoids it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ill has a takedown stuffed.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wu just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kims Ill dominated that round.
That's time! Wu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wu scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Ill moves into the clinch successfully.

Ill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Ill gets a clinch.
Ill is looking for a takedown.

Ill decides to pull guard.
Wu won't allow Ill to get back to his feet.

Ill is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wu has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wu trying to control the position from guard on top but Ill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ill kicks Wu off and gets to his feet.
Wu swings for the body but Ill moves out of range.

Qing Wu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ill is breathing heavily.
Ill uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wu.
Ill scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Wu gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ill.
Wu wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ill's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wu lands with a straight right. Ill didn't see that one coming.
Ill ducks right into an uppercut from Wu.
Ill fails with a takedown attempt.
Qing Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kims Ill.

Ill thumps Wu with a low kick.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ill. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Ill shoots in for a takedown but Wu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ill throws a combination that misses
and Wu counters with a right hand to the body.
Wu is looking to wear down Ill with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Wu connects with a right hand. Ill shakes it off.
Wu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Wu's corner calls for a 1-2. Wu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Wu as he connects with a hook.


It looks like Kims Ill has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wu lands with a shot to the body.
Wu misses the shot to the body.

Wu pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Ill walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Ill should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nice straight punches there by Wu. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Wu.
Wu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.


Ill is rocked!
Wu scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ill doesn't seem bothered though.
Wu works Ill's body with a nice hook.
Ill on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wu swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wu lands with a nice body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Qing Wu dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Kims Ill's cut.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


The fighters circle momentarily. Wu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wu lands a nice shot to the body.
Ill keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ill lands a head kick. Wu smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Ill throws a shot to the body.
Horrible takedown by Ill or perhaps it was just good defense by Wu which made him look bad.
Kims Ill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wu but Wu pushes him off and we're back to square one.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ill takes one on the button.

Wu swings for the body but Ill moves out of range.
Ill takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ill moves away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ill is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wu is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Wu slaps away a takedown attempt from Ill, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Wu stuns Ill with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Wu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Wu lands with a straight right. Ill didn't see that one coming.

Ill fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Wu, pushing him back against the cage.
Ill is looking for a takedown.
Wu misses with a punch on the inside.
Ill blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wu misses with some punches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Wu.
A head punch on the inside from Wu fails to land.
Wu swings wildly with an uppercut but Ill uses good head movement to avoid it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wu is looking to break free of the clinch but Ill has double underhooks.
Ill jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Wu walks away with a smile on his face. Ill gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ill slips a straight right by Wu.
Wu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Qing Wu is winning the standup battle so far.
Wu thows a body shot but no joy.

And that's the end of the fight!
Qing Wu showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Wu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Qing Wu started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
