Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teijo Fredrikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilas has chosen Remember The Name - Fort Minor as his entrance music. Teijo Fredrikson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Teijo Fredrikson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Gilas!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fredrikson throws a sloppy head kick and Gilas moves out of range easily.
Fredrikson throws a head kick that half lands.
Fredrikson is looking to land body kicks.
Fredrikson lands with a thumping leg kick.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fredrikson enables Gilas to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fredrikson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gilas's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Fredrikson is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Team Finland that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gilas crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fredrikson - the referee stops the clock and Gilas gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fredrikson. Gilas manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

I would just about give that final round to Mark Gilas.
