Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Lester!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Colin Miller!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lester shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense.
Colin Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lester stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Miller.
Lester tries to score a power double leg takedown but Miller sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lester somewhat.
Lester has managed to clinch.
Lester tries to pull guard but Miller forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Lester. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miller lands an elbow that stopped Lester in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Bryan Lester has been cut.
Miller unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lester lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Miller told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Miller stops a takedown attempt from Lester.
Lester throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Miller on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Lester has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Miller clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lester biding his time, looking for the opening.
Lester is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Miller knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Miller for a finish.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lester looking for the choke but no joy.
Miller wants to escape the position.
Lester has got one arm under Miller's chin. This could be trouble... Miller trying to control the other hand but Lester gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Miller has tapped out! The fight is over!
