Kerabatsos's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Creedence Clearwater Revival - Looking Out My Backdoor. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Theodore Donald Kerabatsos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Headden!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Headden misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Headden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A head kick misses from Headden.
Headden jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Headden is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kerabatsos.
Headden feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kerabatsos sprawling to the canvas! Kerabatsos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Headden finish him?!


It looks like Theodore Donald Kerabatsos has been cut.
Kerabatsos thows a left - swing and a miss!
Headden looks to land a combination but Kerabatsos avoids it well.
Kerabatsos slips under a jab.
Kerabatsos misses with a few strikes there.
Kerabatsos misses with a kick to the body.
Steve Headden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A head kick misses from Kerabatsos.
Headden tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kerabatsos throws a sloppy head kick and Headden moves out of range easily.
Kerabatsos staying out of range there.
Headden lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Headden misses with a takedown attempt - Kerabatsos sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Headden misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Headden throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kerabatsos counters with a nice uppercut.
Headden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.


Kerabatsos is rocked!
Kerabatsos throws a big shot that misses.
Oh Kerabatsos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Headden throws a head kick that misses

and Kerabatsos counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kerabatsos missing with knees to the body.

Headden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Headden throws an uppercut from hell that sends Kerabatsos clean off his feet! He's out cold! Headden stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Steve Headden!
