Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gennakin Golovdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Golovdy comes to the cage accompanied by A New Beginning by Audiomachine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gennakin Golovdy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Topper Green and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Golovdy defends well and Gracie ends up having to push Golovdy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Gracie is looking for a takedown.
Golovdy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Golovdy finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head.
Gracie drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nice sprawl there from Golovdy as Gracie shoots in.
Gennakin Golovdy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Gracie.
Gracie uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Golovdy.
Golovdy paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice uppercut there from Golovdy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Golovdy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gracie blocks a jab.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Golovdy pinned against the cage. Golovdy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice takedown defense from Golovdy. No joy for Gracie on that attempt.
Golovdy misses with a hook.
We've been told by Golovdy's head coaches at Hate Made Me Asylum that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gracie blocks a jab.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Golovdy sprawls well.
Golovdy's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gracie under the eye.
It looks like Robert Gracie has been cut.
Gracie tries to close the distance and clinch but Golovdy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Golovdy throws out a loose jab but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Golovdy looks to land a left hand but Gracie moved out of range nicely.
Golovdy leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Golovdy loads up on a big right hand but Gracie slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie forces Golovdy back against the cage and clinches.
Golovdy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jab by Golovdy.
Gracie shoots in but Golovdy avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gracie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Golovdy's guard.
Gracie wants to control from the top but Golovdy keeps moving.
Gracie wants to pass the guard but Golovdy is keeping the position.
Gracie throwing strikes but missing.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Golovdy is on top in guard.
Golovdy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Golovdy trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Golovdy!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Golovdy turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie off and cradles Golovdy's limp body as Gracie celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Robert Gracie!
