Kawashima has chosen Colossal - Wolfmother as his entrance music. Patrick Harper is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takuji Kawashima!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Skip Squint and Ron Honeybunn.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawashima has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

It looks like Takuji Kawashima has been cut.
Kawashima throws a solid leg kick but Harper takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kawashima.
Kawashima looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Harper clinches.

Harper manages to break the clinch.
Harper misses with a body shot.
Harper ducks under a wild hook from Kawashima.
Harper pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kawashima back to the cage. Harper follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kawashima misses with a kick to the body.
Harper wants to clinch.
Harper tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kawashima paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kawashima misses with an uppercut.

Harper cracks Kawashima with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Kawashima looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Harper finish him?
Harper pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kawashima takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Kawashima is rocked!
An inside leg kick from Kawashima misses.
Harper looks to land a combination but Kawashima avoids it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Harper stuns Kawashima with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kawashima takes one to the side of the head.
Kawashima is still on wobbly legs! Can Harper finish him?

Kawashima gets tackled into the cage by Harper. Harper maintains the clinch.
Harper lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Harper throws a big uppercut that drops Kawashima! More strikes from Harper and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kawashima lies dazed against the cage as Harper celebrates with his cornermen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Harper!
Patrick Harper took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
