Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Shane Walker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vladimir Zhirinovsky!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Zhirinovsky.


It looks like Shane Walker has been cut.
Zhirinovsky cracks Walker with a right hand to the side of the head.
Walker keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zhirinovsky connects with a body shot.
Walker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Zhirinovsky shoots in looking for a takedown. Walker tries to sprawl out of it but Zhirinovsky keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walker looks to score with a jab to the body but Zhirinovsky is just out of range.
Walker connects with a body shot that sends Zhirinovsky's belly button to the back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zhirinovsky loads up on a big right hand but Walker slips the punch.
Zhirinovsky shoots in but no luck this time.
A telegraphed right hand from Zhirinovsky misses the target.
Walker works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Zhirinovsky slips a straight right by Walker.
Walker staying out of range there.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Walker.
The fighters circling - Zhirinovsky throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Walker looks to score with a jab to the body but Zhirinovsky is just out of range.
Walker tries to land a front kick but Zhirinovsky steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Walker scores with a hook to the body. Zhirinovsky takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
A nice inside leg kick there by Walker. That's going to slow Zhirinovsky down.
Walker with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Zhirinovsky waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Walker.
Walker misses with an attempted mid kick.
A solid body kick from Walker.
A jab lands there for Walker.
Walker scores with a nice body kick.
Zhirinovsky looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walker scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Walker misses with a head kick.
Zhirinovsky checks a low kick from Walker.
Walker tries a head kick but it misses.

Walker fails to land with a series of punches.
Zhirinovsky jabs Walker right on the nose. Walker blinks but takes it well.
Zhirinovsky takes one on the button.
Zhirinovsky throws a jab when Walker was well out of range.
Walker cracks the inside of Zhirinovsky's front leg.
Zhirinovsky swings widly with a right hand
and Walker makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Zhirinovsky lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Zhirinovsky rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Walker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zhirinovsky thinking.
Walker moves away from the strike by Zhirinovsky.
Walker cracks the inside of Zhirinovsky's front leg.
Zhirinovsky on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Shane Walker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Walker feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Zhirinovsky's calf.
Walker scores with a nice body kick.
Walker throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Walker feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Zhirinovskys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Walker lands with a nice body punch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Walker.
Vladimir Zhirinovsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zhirinovsky avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zhirinovsky's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Zhirinovsky throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Walker counter with a right hand.
Walker scores with a spinning back kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Walker throws a nice inside leg kick.
Walker connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Walker feints and then cracks Zhirinovsky's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Zhirinovsky down.
Walker fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Zhirinovsky with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Walker to score with a decent uppercut.
Walker lands a nice looking kick to the body. Zhirinovsky takes a step back to recover.
Walker thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Zhirinovsky if he has to take too many more of those.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Walker lands a big head kick that sends Zhirinovsky tumbling to the mat! Walker takes a step backwards and waves Zhirinovsky back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Zhirinovsky is rocked!
Zhirinovsky walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Walker swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shane Walker!
An out of breath Shane Walker thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
