Apple drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Apple seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Apple is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Pilgrim being controlled here, momentarily.

Apple drops back looking for a leg! Pilgrim is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pilgrim manages to kick Apple off! Apple jumps back into Pilgrim's guard.

Apple pushes down on Pilgrim's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Apple in particular looking to stall.

Apple has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pilgrim defend it? Apple steps over the head and cranks it - Pilgrim is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Apple!
