Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Whitaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Johansson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Whitaker has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ryan Whitaker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carl Johansson! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Whitaker showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johansson.
Johansson tries to keep at a distance but Whitaker has taken the fight into the clinch. Whitaker jumps guard and drags Johansson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Johansson passes into half guard. Johansson content to control rather than advance. Whitaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Johansson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Whitaker's head. Whitaker is trying to maintain the position but Johansson is very close to passing his half guard. Johansson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Whitaker defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whitaker is not content to let Johansson control the position. Johansson winds up and cracks Whitaker with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Whitaker won't allow Johansson to pass to mount. Johansson is looking to take a break and control but Whitaker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Whitaker wants to control but Johansson is keeping busy.
Johansson is figuring out what he wants to do next. Johansson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Whitaker's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johansson trying to control the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Johansson lands a lovely overhand right. This has been an exciting period of action! Johansson swings for the body but Whitaker moves out of range.
Johansson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Whitaker doesn't seem bothered though. Johansson lands the left hand. Johansson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Whitaker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Johansson is in Whitaker's guard. Whitaker is trying to keep Johansson in close.
Johansson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johansson looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Johansson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Johansson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Johansson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Johansson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Johansson trying to control the position from guard on top but Whitaker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Johansson pushes down on Whitaker's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johansson content to control rather than advance. Johansson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Johansson thows a huge punch but Whitaker dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Johansson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Whitaker's head. Johansson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Whitaker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carl Johansson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Whitaker moves in looking to clinch but Johansson pushes him off. Johansson scores with a jab to the head.
Whitaker takes one to the side of the head.
Johansson drops Whitaker with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Whitaker! Johansson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Carl Johansson!
