Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Raje Malapitan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samir Oliva! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Malapitan is out of range. Oliva misses with a body kick. Malapitan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Oliva throws a leg kick that misses. Oliva misses with a low kick.
Malapitan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Malapitan throws a nice looking combination but Oliva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. An inside leg kick from Oliva misses. Malapitan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Oliva moves away. Malapitan throws a jab but it's blocked by Oliva. Malapitan blocks a head kick by Oliva.
Malapitan blocks a leg kick. Oliva finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Oliva does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Good leg kick by Oliva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Malapitan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Oliva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Oliva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Malapitan throws out the jab. Oliva tries to land a leg kick but Malapitan saw it coming and moves away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Oliva looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. A punch combination from Malapitan misses. Malapitan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Malapitan keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Oliva will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Malapitan throws the left hand but Oliva avoids the punch easily. Oliva explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. A clash of legs there as Malapitan blocks the low kick. Malapitan throws a series of punches but Oliva avoids them all with ease. Oliva throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A nice leg kick lands there from Oliva. Malapitan avoids a kick to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Malapitan takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Malapitan checks a leg kick. Malapitan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Oliva. Oliva pivots, looking for a leg kick but Malapitan is out of range and Oliva settles back down. Oliva slips a jab and a cross from Malapitan.
Oliva connects with a leg kick. Malapitan looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Oliva.
Malapitan is breathing heavily. Malapitan moves out of range of the body kick. Malapitan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Oliva scores with a leg kick.
Oliva throws a head kick that Malapitan semi-blocks.
It looks like Raje Malapitan has been cut. Malapitan misses with an uppercut. Oliva saw that one coming. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Samir Oliva dominated that round. The cut man is working on Raje Malapitan's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Oliva with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Oliva! Malapitan is out on his feet! Oliva rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Malapitan is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Malapitan is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samir Oliva! A very excited looking Samir Oliva made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
