Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergio Pettis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Lester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sergio Pettis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Bryan Lester!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettis tries for a takedown but Lester circles away easily

and Lester counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lester.
Lester is stalling in the full guard.

Pettis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lester stacks Pettis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lester!

Lester stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Lester moves into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pettis.

Lester gets control of Pettis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lester will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pettis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lester manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Pettis has Lester in his guard.

Pettis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lester defends well.
Lester wanted to stand there but Pettis had control of the position.

Pettis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Pettis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lester doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lester manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lester stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pettis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Pettis has his foot on Lester's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lester works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Sergio Pettis will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Pettis has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lester avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Well Lester has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
