Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Coyote Starrk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Carlos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Coyote Starrk! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlos shoots for a double leg takedown but Starrk sprawls well. He's pushed Carlos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Starrk fails with the takedown and Carlos counters by clinching up. Carlos avoiding damage.
Carlos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carlos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Starrk counters with a right hand to the body. Carlos avoids the head kick by Starrk.
Carlos with a lazy takedown attempt and Starrk counters with a series of strikes. Carlos will be more careful next time no doubt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carlos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Starrk swats him away and circles back towards the center. Carlos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Starrk's waist but Starrk gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Carlos off to one side. Carlos is breathing heavily. Starrk fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carlos, pushing him back against the cage. Starrk pulls Carlos into guard.
Starrk has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starrk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Starrk lands a couple of shots from the bottom.
Starrk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Starrk is trying to work for a kimura but Carlos is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Starrk has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Carlos wants to control but Starrk is having none of it. Starrk looking to ground and pound but Carlos is blocking nicely. Carlos tries to hold on but Starrk pushes him away. Starrk content just to control the position here. Carlos is looking to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starrk looking to control but Carlos is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Starrk unloads with some shots from mount but Carlos bucks and avoids them well.
Starrk punching from mount but Carlos doing a good job of avoiding damage. Carlos is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Starrk sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Carlos tries to reverse the position but Starrk maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Starrk controlling from the full mount. Starrk sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Starrk avoids the attempt from Carlos to control. Starrk controlling his opponent. Starrk can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carlos is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coyote Starrk dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Starrk tries to clinch there but Carlos circles away.
Carlos misses with a takedown and Starrk counters with a left to the body. Carlos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Starrk counters with a nice double leg into guard. Starrk thows a big elbow that misses. Starrk is in close to Carlos's body, working some short punches and elbows. Starrk not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Let's hope that Starrk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Starrk loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starrk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carlos swivels though and keeps the full guard. Carlos keeping moving, preventing Starrk from controlling successfully. Starrk preventing the sweep. Starrk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Starrk seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Starrk won't allow Carlos to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Starrk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Starrk misses with a jab, cross combination.
Starrk tries to keep at a distance but Carlos has taken the fight into the clinch. Starrk escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Starrk shoots in for a double leg but Carlos sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Carlos scores with a takedown into Starrk's guard. Starrk has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carlos wants to pass the guard but Starrk is keeping the position. Carlos won't allow Starrk to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starrk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Starrk passes the guard and advances to mount! Carlos tries to get back to half guard but can't. Starrk throwing strikes here but Carlos is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starrk prevents Carlos from getting the reversal. Starrk looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Carlos working to try and regain half guard.
Starrk is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Carlos can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Starrk thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Carlos avoids a series of strikes thrown by Starrk.
Carlos tries to buck Starrk off but he can't manage it. Starrk looking for a guillotine from mount but Carlos is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Coyote Starrk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Carlos throws a right hand that Starrk ducks under and follows up with a left that Starrk also avoids with ease. Starrk throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Carlos's waist but Carlos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Starrk off to one side. Starrk circles away from the clinch attempt and Starrk counters with a one-two to the body. Starrk tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jean Carlos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Horrible takedown by Starrk or perhaps it was just good defense by Carlos which made him look bad. Carlos fails with a takedown attempt from distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carlos misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Starrk avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starrk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Carlos to the mat! Carlos manages to get full guard. Carlos is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Carlos thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Starrk postures up.
Starrk is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Starrk looking to sit in guard and control but Carlos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carlos wants to control from the top but Starrk keeps moving. Carlos postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Starrk manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Starrk stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Carlos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Starrk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlos checks a low kick from Starrk. Carlos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Carlos throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Starrk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Still in half guard, Starrk seems content to control. Carlos trying to control here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carlos won't allow Starrk to pass to mount. Starrk seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Carlos does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Carlos trying to control but Starrk postures up.
Carlos wants to improve his position but Starrk is controlling well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Carlos shoots in for a takedown but Starrk shows good takedown defense. Carlos gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Starrk counters with a single leg into guard. Carlos didn't expect that.
And that's the end of the fight! Coyote Starrk comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Starrk winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
