Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randolph Turpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Panikos Papaioanou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randolph Turpin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Panikos Papaioanou's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randolph Turpin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Panikos Papaioanou! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Papaioanou closes this distance looking for a takedown but Turpin circles away. Papaioanou closes the distance and pushes Turpin back into the cage. Papaioanou on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Papaioanou changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Turpin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Papaioanou keeps the fight on the outside. Papaioanou takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Papaioanou throws a head kick but Turpin moves out of range.
Papaioanou has a takedown stuffed. Randolph Turpin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Panikos Papaioanou. Papaioanou tries to score a power double leg takedown but Turpin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Papaioanou somewhat. Turpin moves into the clinch.

Turpin is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Papaioanou is defending well for now. Papaioanou is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Turpin gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Papaioanou tries for a takedown but Turpin manages to get underhooks.
Turpin softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. We've been informed that Papaioanou has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Turpin throws a knee to the head but misses.

Papaioanou is working for takedown but Turpin is calmly controlling the position for now. Turpin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Randolph Turpin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Papaioanou takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Papaioanou shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Turpin defends it nicely. Turpin lands a glancing blow to the side of Papaioanou's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Turpin moves into range and clinches up with Papaioanou. Turpin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Turpin just misses with a punch to the body.
Turpin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Papaioanou closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. You can see the frustration on Turpin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Papaioanou working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Turpin sneaks back into half guard. Papaioanou throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Papaioanou is looking to take a break and control but Turpin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Papaioanou is working for a kimura but Turpin is defending it quite comfortably.
Papaioanou throwing shots but Turpin is blocking nicely. Papaioanou is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Turpin defends it well. Turpin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Papaioanou is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Papaioanou is nestled in close to Turpin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Papaioanou lands with a punch from half guard. Papaioanou not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Turpin is staying active underneath Papaioanou, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Papaioanou scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turpin controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Turpin is not content to let Papaioanou control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Randolph Turpin will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Turpin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Turpin throws a head kick that Papaioanou semi-blocks.
Papaioanou scores with a takedown into Turpin's guard. Panikos Papaioanou has got the better of the ground game so far. Papaioanou stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turpin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Turpin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Papaioanou throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Papaioanou tries to free his leg and advance position but Turpin is retaining full guard. Papaioanou wants to control from the top but Turpin keeps moving. Turpin controls Papaioanou momentarily but Papaioanou frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Papaioanou with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Papaioanou trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Turpin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Papaioanou gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Papaioanou trying to control but Turpin is working from the bottom. Papaioanou is looking to work some ground and pound but Turpin has wrist control. Turpin trying to keep a closed guard but Papaioanou is proving a slippery customer.

Papaioanou trying to control from Turpin's half guard. Turpin has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Papaioanou pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Turpin is keeping the position for now. Papaioanou in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Papaioanou throws a big right hand that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Papaioanou postures up and lands a big shot to Turpin's brow. Papaioanou trying to control the position from guard on top but Turpin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Papaioanou accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Papaioanou wants to control from the top but Turpin keeps moving. Turpin is trying to control the position but Papaioanou postures up. Papaioanou trying to control the position from guard on top but Turpin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Turpin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turpin misses with a body kick. Papaioanou takes a body punch but keeps moving. A big right from Turpin misses. Papaioanou ducks under a wild hook from Turpin. Papaioanou moves out of range as Turpin throws a body kick.
Turpin connects with a leg kick. Papaioanou looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Papaioanou takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Papaioanou checks a low kick from Turpin. We've been told by Turpin's head coaches at Brotherhood Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Turpin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Papaioanou. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Papaioanou has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Turpin looks to land a left hand but Papaioanou moved out of range nicely. Turpin with a hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randolph Turpin dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
A big left from Turpin misses. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Papaioanou is defended easily by Turpin. Papaioanou tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turpin defends well and Papaioanou ends up having to push Turpin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Turpin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nice defenses there by Papaioanou. Turpin throws a jab when Papaioanou was well out of range. Papaioanou tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Turpin defends well and Papaioanou ends up having to push Turpin into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Turpin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Papaioanou circles away quickly and effectively. A left and a right from Turpin both land. Nice combination. Randolph Turpin is winning the standup battle so far. Nice body kick from Turpin. Papaioanou takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Turpin scores with a body shot.
Papaioanou closes this distance looking for a takedown but Turpin circles away. Turpin scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Turpin feints a jab and as Papaioanou dips his head, Turpin unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Papaioanou right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Papaioanou falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Turpin smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Randolph Turpin! A determined Randolph Turpin didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
