Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mats Lundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Bellego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dawid Bellego is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mats Lundin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dawid Bellego! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lundin looks to land a combination but Bellego avoids it well. Bellego is looking to land body kicks. Lundin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bellego swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lundin tries for a takedown but Bellego sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lundin misses with a double jab.
Bellego takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Lundin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Dawid Bellego has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bellego shoots in but no luck this time. Lundin misses with a takedown attempt - Bellego sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Lundin dives in and grabs Bellego's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bellego pushes down on Lundin's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mats Lundin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lundin closes the distance and clinches. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Lundin. Bellego has Lundin pressed against the cage, preventing Lundin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Lundin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bellego shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lundin's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Lundin keeping moving, preventing Bellego from controlling successfully. Bellego slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bellego is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lundin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Bellego working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bellego thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lundin can't do much from the bottom here.

Bellego looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bellego is looking to take a break and control but Lundin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lundin is looking to escape. Bellego trying to pass the guard but Lundin defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bellego is still trying to improve position. Bellego perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Lundin is trying to stand back up but Bellego is controlling him

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Lundin looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Bellego trying to mount his opponent but Lundin defends it. Bellego is stalling here. Lundin is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bellego seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lundin has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Lundin wants to stand but Bellego has his arm trapped. Bellego has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lundin decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bellego to his feet. Lundin gets caught napping as Bellego dives in and scores a takedown. Lundin manages to retain guard. Bellego passes Lundin's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lundin trying to control here.
This has been an exciting period of action! Bellego is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lundin has managed to free his arm - good work. Bellego is trying to work for a kimura but Lundin is defending well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lundin is trying to stand back up but Bellego is controlling him

That was a close round but I would say that Mats Lundin will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dawid Bellego's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Bellego counters with a nice double leg into guard. Lundin wants to stand and escape but Bellego is having none of it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bellego wants to control from the top but Lundin keeps moving. Bellego trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bellego trying to control the position from guard on top but Lundin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lundin is looking to stand up but Bellego isn't so interested in that idea. Bellego is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lundin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bellego is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dawid Bellego has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bellego drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lundin manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bellego has Lundin in his guard. Lundin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bellego is proving hard to escape from.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lundin wants to stand and escape but instead Bellego has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Lundin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bellego drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bellego jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dawid Bellego hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Bellego displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lundin. Lundin gets a double leg takedown into Bellego's guard. Lundin is looking to stand up but Bellego won't let him. Bellego looking for a sweep. Not yet Bellego, not yet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lundin wants to get up but he can't break Bellego's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bellego is controlling Lundin's posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mats Lundin will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Dawid Bellego's cut. That's time! Lundin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Lundin wants to stand but Bellego is controlling the position. Bellego with a flurry of punches that miss. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
