Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wanderlay Zilva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and PTA Sun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sun's choice of entrance music: Tupac - I get money. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wanderlay Zilva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, PTA Sun! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zilva shoots in and bounces Sun off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Zilva trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sun working for a triangle but Zilva defends it easily.
Sun had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Zilva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sun Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Zilva's back instead. Sun missing with strikes from the back. Sun is persistently looking for the submission but Zilva is defending it well.
Sun somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Zilva rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Zilva regains full guard. Nicely done. Zilva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sun is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Zilva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sun's back instead. Zilva is looking for the choke from the back position but Sun is controlling his hands well. Sun is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sun preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Zilva. Zilva looking to break Sun's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Sun remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Zilva will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Sun is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Zilva off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. Sun is in bad spot here.
Sun is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Sun manages to reverse the position and now he's in Zilva's guard. Nice work there by Sun.
Sun drops back looking for a leg! Zilva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zilva manages to kick Sun off! Sun jumps back into Zilva's guard. Sun looks gassed! Zilva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sun is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Zilva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sun's back instead. Zilva is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zilva looking for the choke but no joy. Zilva doesn't have the hooks in and Sun manages to turn into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Zilva working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sun doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sun manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sun pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zilva is keeping the position for now. Zilva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sun is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Zilva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sun's back instead. Sun is really stuck here.
Zilva is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Sun has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zilva working for the choke. Sun defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Sun tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Zilva working for a submission but Sun is keeping him at bay. Sun can't escape the position.
Zilva has hold of Sun's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sun manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sun is looking to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sun gets back to half guard. Sun looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Zilva stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Sun to get to his feet. Zilva gets a takedown into half guard. Zilva has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Sun defend it? Zilva steps over the head and cranks it - Sun is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Zilva!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wanderlay Zilva!
