Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razor Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Frank Mir has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Razor Speed! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir looking to score a takedown here. Speed is defending well but Mir drives through and ends up in Speed's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Speed working a defensive guard here.
Mir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mir wants to control from the top but Speed keeps moving. Speed looking for a sweep. Not yet Speed, not yet. Speed wants to stand up but Mir is controlling him. Mir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Speed swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Speed had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mir defends it easily. Speed has his foot on Mir's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mir works his way back into a safe position though. Mir trying to control but Speed is working from the bottom. Mir postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Speed can't keep his opponent in guard - Mir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Speed is trying to get back to full guard. Speed wants to get back to his feet. Speed is not content to let Mir control the position. Mir is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Speed can do anything to dispel that myth. Mir wants to pass the guard but Speed is defending well. Mir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Speed is just riding it out for now. Mir eventually gives up the hold. Speed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mir. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir is looking for a kimura but Speed is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mir to get the leverage. Mir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Mir is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Speed has managed to free his arm - good work. Mir thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mir is trying to control the action in half guard but Speed is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Speed is trying to control but can't.
Speed is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Mir has latched onto it... Big trouble! Mir pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Speed is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Mir!
