Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wally Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Pinsent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wally Garza! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesse Pinsent! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pinsent thows a body shot but no joy. Pinsent shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Garza's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Pinsent thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pinsent trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Garza throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Garza controls Pinsent momentarily but Pinsent frees himself. Garza punching from the bottom. Garza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Garza working a defensive guard here.
Garza keeping moving, preventing Pinsent from controlling successfully. Pinsent being controlled here momentarily. Pinsent postures up in Garza's guard and throws a big left but Garza blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinsent prevents Garza from getting back to his feet. Pinsent being controlled here momentarily.
Wally Garza has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Garza looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pinsent is looking for a triangle but Garza pushes his legs off easily.
Pinsent is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Garza is aware though and is defending well. Pinsent throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Garza escapes and throws Pinsent's legs to the side, diving into side control! Pinsent sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pinsent has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Garza escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Garza! Pinsent is trying to improve his position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Garza working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pinsent tries to buck Garza off but Garza is having none of it. Pinsent manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Garza misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pinsent wants to pass to mount but Garza is defending the position. Garza is looking to control Pinsent's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Garza avoid being mounted? Garza missing with punches from the bottom.

Pinsent seems to be working for a kimura but Garza defends the submission attempt. Pinsent trying to control from half guard but Garza is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pinsent looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Garza throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Pinsent is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Garza is not content to let Pinsent control the position. Pinsent throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Garza is trying to stand.
Pinsent tries to pass the half guard into mount. Garza knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pinsent is looking for a kimura but Garza is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pinsent to get the leverage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Pinsent dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Pinsent shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Garza is trying to defend but Pinsent finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Garza is refusing to be controlled, as Pinsent sits in half guard. Pinsent trying to control from Garza's half guard. Garza has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Pinsent lands a couple of digs. Garza striking off his back but it's not causing Pinsent any problems. Garza wants to get back to his feet but Pinsent is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jesse Pinsent has got the better of the ground game so far. Pinsent wants to control from the top but Garza keeps moving. Pinsent looking to sit in guard and control but Garza gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Garza has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pinsent looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Pinsent regains half guard. Garza is looking for a kimura but Pinsent is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garza to get the leverage. Pinsent is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Garza pulls his head out easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pinsent tries to roll over but Garza keeps him under control. Pinsent actively working from the bottom here. Garza is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pinsent gets full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pinsent had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Garza defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garza avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pinsent is breathing heavily. Pinsent is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Garza defends well. Garza has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pinsent to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Garza is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pinsent pulls down on the head and he's put Garza to sleep! This one is all over!
