Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josef Solis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flitser K Flash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Josef Solis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Flitser K Flash!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
K Flash connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

K Flash pushes Solis up against the cage in a clinch.

K Flash successfully pulls guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Solis stands and steps away. K Flash gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

K Flash fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Solis to the ground. K Flash is now in Solis's guard.
Solis pulls K Flash in close to prevent any damage.
K Flash really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Solis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
K Flash wants to control from the top but Solis keeps moving.
K Flash is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
K Flash stops Solis from standing up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Flitser K Flash wasn't active enough on the ground.
Solis swats away the attempt to clinch by K Flash.
K Flash wants to clinch

and Solis counters by moving into the clinch.

K Flash decides to pull guard.
K Flash keeping moving, preventing Solis from controlling successfully.
Solis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Solis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We're going to have a standup here because Josef Solis wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Solis darts in trying to clinch
and K Flash counters with a head kick. That will keep Solis thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

K Flash shoots in and bounces Solis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Solis has K Flash pulled in close to control his posture.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as K Flash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
K Flash stays in close to Solis's body and controls the position.
Solis keeping moving, preventing K Flash from controlling successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Flitser K Flash.

K Flash throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Solis tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. K Flash is in Solis's guard.
K Flash must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
K Flash throwing strikes from guard but Solis blocks nicely.
K Flash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Solis works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

K Flash is looking to stand up but Solis won't let him.
K Flash wants to pass the guard but Solis is keeping the position.
K Flash sitting in guard here, content to control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Flitser K Flash wasn't active enough on the ground.

K Flash darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Solis wants to control but K Flash is keeping busy and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flitser K Flash dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Solis tries to clinch but K Flash moves out of range.

K Flash closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Solis quickly recovers to half guard.
K Flash tries to pass the half guard into mount. Solis knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Solis is controlling K Flash's trapped leg to prevent K Flash from advancing to side control.
Flitser K Flash has got the better of the ground game so far.
Solis wants to improve his position but K Flash is controlling well.
K Flash seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Solis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Solis is trying to control but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josef Solis.
A big left from K Flash misses.
Solis throws a combination but it was largely blocked by K Flash.
Solis really is a fat lump.

K Flash shoots in and gets a takedown into Solis's guard.
Solis controls K Flash momentarily but K Flash frees himself.
K Flash content to stall in guard here.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Flitser K Flash wasn't active enough on the ground.

K Flash changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Solis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Solis is trying to control K Flash's posture but K Flash avoids it.
K Flash trying to control the action but Solis is working from the bottom.

K Flash looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Solis throws K Flash to one side and escapes!

K Flash shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Solis's guard.
K Flash is breathing heavily.
K Flash trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
K Flash trying to control but Solis is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Solis pushes K Flash off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

K Flash moves into range and clinches up with Solis.

Solis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

K Flash shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than K Flash was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This has been an exciting period of action!
K Flash tries to stand but Solis controls the position and pulls K Flash into his guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Solis manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flitser K Flash showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



K Flash feints and as Solis raises his hands in defense, K Flash changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
K Flash stays in close to Solis's body and controls the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
K Flash trying to control but Solis is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Flitser K Flash was stalling too much, according to the referee.

K Flash manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Solis on his heels. He'll look to pass Solis's guard now, I'm sure.
Solis throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Solis can't keep his opponent in guard - K Flash advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
K Flash takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Solis makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
K Flash tries a head kick but it misses.
K Flash moves into range and connects with a jab.
Solis tries to close the distance and clinch up but K Flash swats him away and circles back towards the center.

K Flash gets a double leg takedown into Solis's guard.

K Flash has gone for a leg lock! Solis slips out almost immediately though and dives into K Flash's guard.

Solis gets to his feet - K Flash follows without any prompting.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Solis tries to clinch but K Flash moves out of range.
Solis wants to clinch up but K Flash keeps it at a distance.
Solis doesn't manage to clinch there - K Flash circles away.

K Flash rushes Solis and presses him up against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Solis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
K Flash tries to clinch but Solis is having none of it.

K Flash feints and as Solis raises his hands in defense, K Flash changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Solis keeping full guard, as K Flash tries to pass.
K Flash prevents Solis from getting back to his feet.
K Flash trying to control the position from guard on top but Solis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
K Flash throws a big elbow that misses.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Flitser K Flash hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
K Flash scores with a crisp jab that stopped Solis in his tracks.

K Flash closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Solis's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Solis controls K Flash momentarily but K Flash frees himself.
Solis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
K Flash wants to stand and escape but instead Solis has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Solis stands and steps away. K Flash gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Josef Solis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Flitser K Flash is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
K Flash keeps the fight on the outside.

And that's the end of the fight!
Flitser K Flash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well K Flash has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
