Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Corbet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Zalama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ronnie Corbet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miguel Zalama!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Corbet shoots in and gets a takedown into Zalama's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Corbet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zalama is keeping the position for now.
Corbet throws a strike but Zalama rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Corbet on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Corbet tries to get out of the position.
Corbet is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Corbet is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Zalama trying to control but Corbet is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Corbet is pulling down on Zalama's head. It's preventing any offense from Zalama, at least for the moment.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Corbet manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Corbet.

Corbet has picked Zalama up - he's going for a ride! Corbet dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zalama is trying to control but can't.
Corbet working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Corbet throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Corbet is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Zalama to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Corbet stands up and waves to Zalama to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Zalama wants to clinch.

Corbet shoots in and gets a takedown into Zalama's guard.
Corbet has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Corbet stays in close to Zalama's body and controls the position.
Corbet might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Corbet throws a strike but Zalama avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Corbet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Corbet gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Zalama tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Corbet paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Corbet closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Zalama did well to prevent Corbet getting side control.
Zalama tries to get to full guard but Corbet has control of the leg.
Corbet is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Corbet lands strikes from half guard.

Zalama is defending against the submission attempts here by Corbet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Corbet stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Corbet gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Zalama to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Zalama trying to control but Corbet is working from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Corbet is looking for a triangle but Zalama pushes his legs off easily.
Corbet keeping moving, preventing Zalama from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ronnie Corbet dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Corbet drives through with a takedown into guard.

Corbet gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Corbet tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Zalama manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Corbet closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We've been hearing that Corbet has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Ronnie Corbet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Corbet wants to control but Zalama is keeping him busy.
Corbet is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Zalama trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Corbet controlling from the full mount.

Corbet looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Corbet looking to secure an arm triangle but Zalama defends it well.

Zalama is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zalama is trying desperately to improve position.

Zalama is in a horrible position here. Corbet smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Corbet lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Zalama hang on?
Corbet postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Zalama badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Corbet around the waist but Corbet pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Corbet is the winner by TKO! Corbet jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ronnie Corbet!
