The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ takes a jab right on the kisser.
Christ should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Marshall swings for the body but Christ moves out of range.
Jesus Christ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Christ misses with a two punch combination.

Marshall shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Christ napping and manages to drive through into side control!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Marshall lands a few punches from side control.

Marshall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Marshall wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Christ, who protects the arm well.

Christ is looking to regain half guard here but Marshall keeps moving and retains side control.
Christ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marshall. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Christ takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Marshall scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Christ to see if he's OK.
Marshall works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Christ is working to avoid the ground and pound but Marshall connects with a decent elbow.
Marshall lands a nice forearm strike.

Marshall has an Americana. Christ didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Marshall is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Marshall hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
