Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pale Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francis Conrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monster kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Therapy . The key to victory for Pale Monster has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monster misses with a hook.
Conrad throws a sloppy head kick and Monster moves out of range easily.
Conrad fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Monster manages to avoid it.
Monster throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Conrad tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Monster is in Conrad's guard.
Monster might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Monster connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Conrad some visible discomfort.
Monster throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Conrad works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Conrad is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Monster shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Conrad's guard.
Monster makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Monster postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Pale Monster overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Conrad stands and throws Monster's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Conrad throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Monster tries to bench press Conrad off him but Conrad keeps the position.
Monster manages to work his way to half guard, despite Conrad's best efforts.
