Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Durran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durran's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Do or die. Palmer has chosen DMX - X gon‘ give it to ya as his entrance music. Billy Durran has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Durran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santiago Palmer! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durran looks to land a combination but Palmer avoids it well. Palmer looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Palmer misses with a body shot.
Durran wants to clinch up but Palmer keeps it at a distance. Sloppy strikes from Durran. Those never looked like landing. Durran tries to clinch but Palmer is having none of it. Palmer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Durran. Durran uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Palmer. Durran fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Nice sprawl there from Durran as Palmer shoots in. Durran shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Palmer as he jumps to the side. A low kick from Palmer misses and Durran counters with a head kick. That will keep Palmer thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Palmer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Durran throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Palmer's head. Durran's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Durran duly obliges. This has been an exciting period of action! Palmer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Durran, pushing him back against the cage. Palmer has Durran pressed against the cage.
Durran using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Palmer has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Palmer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Durran fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Santiago Palmer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Palmer slaps away a takedown attempt from Durran, before circling back to the center of the mat. Palmer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Durran working aggressively here.

Durran wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Durran makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Durran trying to stall but Palmer improves his position.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Durran has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Palmer after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Durran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Palmer slows down the pace here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durran is trying to pull guard but Palmer turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Durran misses with a punch on the inside.

Durran is fighting off a takedown attempt but Palmer is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Durran to the mat. Durran regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Palmer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durran is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Palmer taking a breather here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Billy Durran will probably get the nod. That's time! Durran's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

That's going to take a lot out of him. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Palmer takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. That's two minutes gone in the round. Palmer tightens his grip and picks Durran up, before dumping him to the ground. Durran manages to land in guard. Durran being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Santiago Palmer wasn't active enough on the ground. Durran throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Palmer's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durran tries to keep at a distance but Palmer has taken the fight into the clinch. Palmer has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Durran is trying to keep an underhook but Palmer manages to get the takedown into half guard. Palmer is controlling the pace.
Durran wants to control but Palmer is keeping busy and won't allow it. Still in half guard, Palmer seems content to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Palmer fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. We've been told by Durran's head coaches at Personal Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Palmer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Palmer tries to clinch up but Durran circles away and keeps his distance. Palmer is looking to clinch but Durran is avoiding it.

Durran jumps guard and drags Palmer to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Durran being controlled here, momentarily. Santiago Palmer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Palmer misses with a straight left. Durran is looking to clinch. The fight stays on the outside here - Durran looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Palmer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Durran has his takedown stuffed so Palmer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Durran trying to keep a closed guard but Palmer is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durran is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer is looking to work some ground and pound but Durran has wrist control. Durran can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palmer controls the pace.
Billy Durran has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Palmer throws a lazy head kick and Durran cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Palmer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Durran, pushing him back against the cage. Durran is trying to force a seperation but Palmer has the dominant position. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Billy Durran has scored more points in the clinch so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Durran looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. The referee calls for Palmer to work.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Santiago Palmer. I think Palmer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Billy Durran spoke after the fight, saying 'I'm sorry that I let all of you down. I gave it 100 percent and I promise that I will come back stronger next time'.
