Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandor Orkas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arne Saarrinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sandor Orkas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arne Saarrinen!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saarrinen tries for a takedown but Orkas circles away easily

and Orkas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Saarrinen's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Orkas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Saarrinen looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Orkas passes into half guard.
Orkas wants to stand but Saarrinen has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Orkas content to control rather than advance.

Saarrinen is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sandor Orkas wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Saarrinen gets caught napping as Orkas dives in and scores a takedown. Saarrinen manages to retain guard.

Orkas gets to his feet. Saarrinen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Orkas counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Saarrinen's guard now.
Sandor Orkas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arne Saarrinen.
Orkas slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Saarrinen is letting Orkas control him for a moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sandor Orkas dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Orkas shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Orkas stalling.
Orkas seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Sandor Orkas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Orkas perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Saarrinen wants to improve his position but Orkas is controlling well.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Orkas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sandor Orkas.
No luck for Saarrinen with that takedown attempt.
Saarrinen is breathing heavily.
Saarrinen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Orkas sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Saarrinen somewhat.

Orkas seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Saarrinen for as long as he can get away with.

Saarrinen throws a push kick but Orkas slaps the foot to one side.

Orkas drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Orkas is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Orkas dives in and scores a takedown into Saarrinen's guard.
Orkas is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Orkas drives through with a takedown into Saarrinen's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Saarrinen can't keep his opponent in guard - Orkas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Saarrinen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Orkas has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A head kick misses from Saarrinen.

Orkas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Orkas is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Saarrinen!
