Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Logan Bradley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Zamir Tillman! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Valeri Chadov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bradley throws a right and a left that both miss. Bradley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bradley showed some decent athleticism there. Bradley is thwarting Tillman's attempts to control the position. Bradley trying to control the action but Tillman is working from the bottom. Bradley is really struggling to control Tillman but he's trying to hold on to the position. Bradley wants to stand up but Tillman has a hold of him and won't allow it. Tillman wants to get back to full guard. Tillman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Tillman controls Bradley momentarily but Bradley frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bradley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Tillman keeping moving, preventing Bradley from controlling successfully. Bradley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Tillman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Tillman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Tillman! The strikes coming from Tillman are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Bradley tries to escape but Tillman is in control. Bradley is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Tillman is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Bradley is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bradley working to try and regain half guard.
Tillman throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Bradley because Tillman loaded up on that one. Tillman avoids the attempt from Bradley to control. Tillman controlling from the full mount. Tillman sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Bradley is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bradley tries to lock up and control but Tillman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poor strikes thrown by Tillman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Tillman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tillman postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bradley looks a forlorn figure.
Tillman lands a big shot there that rocks Bradley but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Tillman trying to control but he's not successful this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bradley takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Bradley can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bradley manages to control the position for a moment. Tillman has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tillman looking to control but Bradley is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bradley is looking to get to half guard. Tillman lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tillman landing punches. A nice elbow there by Tillman. Bradley is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Zamir Tillman dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Bradley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tillman tries for a takedown but Bradley circles away easily and Bradley counters by moving into the clinch. Bradley breaks the clinch.
Tillman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bradley feints and as Tillman raises his hands in defense, Bradley changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bradley wants to pass the guard but Tillman is keeping the position. Tillman trying to keep a closed guard but Bradley is proving a slippery customer.
Bradley postures up in Tillman's guard and throws a big left but Tillman blocks it. Bradley preventing the sweep. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bradley wanted to stand there but Tillman had control of the position. Bradley postures up in Tillman's guard and throws a big left but Tillman blocks it. Bradley tries to free his leg and advance position but Tillman is retaining full guard. Bradleyis looking to pass into half guard but Tillman pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tillman is in guard. Bradley wants to stand up but Tillman is controlling him.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bradley blocks a head kick by Tillman.
Bradley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tillman pinned against the cage. Tillman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Tillman gets the takedown into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bradley is trying to improve his position. Tillman is looking to take a break and control but Bradley is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bradley can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tillman scores with punches from side control. Bradley is trying to control Tillman's posture but Tillman avoids it. A control attempt from Bradley but he's now mounted! Tillman tries to control but Bradley wriggling away. Bradley wants to hold on but Tillman pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tillman trying to control but Bradley is having none of it. Bradley has given up his back here.
You can see the frustration on Bradley's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Bradley trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Bradley has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tillman looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Bradley taps!
