The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Deal throws a sloppy head kick and Lawrence moves out of range easily.
Lawrence fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Deal sprawls well initially but Lawrence persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Deal keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Lawrence looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Lawrence wants to take a breather but Deal is having none of it.
