Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksandr Kerzhakov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Paulie Brown! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerzhakov gets a double leg takedown into Brown's guard. Kerzhakov is standing up over Brown. Brown looks to escape but Kerzhakov dives into side control.
Kerzhakov definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Brown is trying to get back to his feet. Kerzhakov controlling from side mount. Kerzhakov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brown for as long as he can get away with. Kerzhakov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Brown is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kerzhakov asserts his dominance and retains side control. Brown being controlled for a moment. Kerzhakov advances to full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kerzhakov controlling from the full mount. Brown is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Kerzhakov controlling the pace for now. Brown squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Aleksandr Kerzhakov wasn't doing enough on the ground. Brown throws a right hand that Kerzhakov ducks under and follows up with a left that Kerzhakov also avoids with ease. Kerzhakov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Brown.
Kerzhakov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kerzhakov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kerzhakov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brown is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerzhakov with shots to the head and body - Brown looks very uncomfortable down there. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kerzhakov content just to control the position here. Brown is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Kerzhakov controlling his opponent. Brown in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. We've been informed that Brown has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerzhakov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kerzhakov lands a nice shot to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Kerzhakov controlling from mount. Kerzhakov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kerzhakov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Kerzhakov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Brown is looking to escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kerzhakov controlling the action here. Kerzhakov moves into full mount! Brown won't be happy about that! Kerzhakov landing punches.
Brown is rocked! Kerzhakov cracks Brown with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Aleksandr Kerzhakov! A victorious Aleksandr Kerzhakov thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter. Paulie Brown was interviewed post fight and said 'Aleksandr Kerzhakov is no joke, he beat me. I would like to get back on the win column, but in sometime of the future, we will rematch.'.
