Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Salcedo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marko's entrance music is Get Back - Ludacris. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
39 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cain Marko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 19 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jose Salcedo! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marko uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Salcedo. Salcedo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jose Salcedo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Marko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Salcedo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Salcedo goes for a double leg but Marko avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Marko continues to drive forward. Marko keeps control of Salcedo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Marko breaks from the clinch.

It looks like Cain Marko has been cut. Marko tries to clinch and Salcedo counters with a low kick, right behind Marko 's knee. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A telegraphed right hand from Salcedo misses the target. Marko's corner calls for a 1-2. Marko obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Salcedo misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Salcedo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Salcedo dives in for a single leg takedown but Marko sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Salcedo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Marko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cain Marko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Salcedo. Marko fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Salcedo on the side of the head. Sloppy strikes from Marko. Those never looked like landing. Salcedo tried to score with a low kick but Marko checks it. Salcedo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Salcedo swings for the body but Marko moves out of range.
Marko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Salcedo throws out a leg kick but Marko moves out of range and Salcedo only half commits. A big head kick from Marko and Salcedo is sent sprawling to the canvas!
It looks like Jose Salcedo has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Marko tries to stand but Salcedo is controlling from the bottom. Marko trying to control the position from guard on top but Salcedo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marko postures up.
Salcedo controlling the position. Salcedo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marko will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Marko content to stall in guard here.

Cain Marko has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Marko keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Salcedo misses with a kick to the body and Marko counters with an outside leg kick.
Salcedo scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Salcedo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Salcedo is trying to control. Marko wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Salcedo not landing any meaningful shots this time. My spies in Knockout team inform me that Salcedo has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Salcedo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Marko is not content to let Salcedo control the position. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Marko keeping hold of Salcedo's head, controlling as best he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marko tries to kick Salcedo off but Salcedo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Marko is not content to let Salcedo control the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Salcedo stops Marko from getting back to his feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Marko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Salcedo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Salcedo lands a head kick!
Salcedo shoots in and drives through. Marko sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cain Marko will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Salcedo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Marko blocks a head kick by Salcedo.
Marko stuffs the takedown attempt from Salcedo. Salcedo gets slowly back to his feet. Salcedo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Salcedo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's going to take a lot out of Jose Salcedo. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marko displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Salcedo throws out the jab. Salcedo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marko as he jumps to the side. Salcedo gets tackled into the cage by Marko. Marko maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Salcedo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marko swivels and escapes. Marko is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Salcedo shoots in but no luck this time. Salcedo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marko. Salcedo throws a leg kick which misses Marko's front leg but catches the back leg as Marko tries to avoid it. Marko tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Marko is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Marko checks a low kick from Salcedo. Nice sprawl there from Marko as Salcedo shoots in. Salcedo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jab, jab by Marko - just one landing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marko misses with a head kick.
Salcedo throws a head kick that misses. Salcedo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Marko circles away. Salcedo misses with a body kick. Salcedo looks to land a body kick but Marko moved away. A low kick from Salcedo misses and Marko counters with a big right hand! Oh Salcedo is in trouble here! Marko follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
